Tim Curry Wears Women’s Underwear

Ever since I first saw the movie version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, I have been convinced that Tim Curry wears women’s underwear — under everything. Think about it……

As Dr. Frank N. Furter, he moves comfortably and freely in his lingerie. Almost too comfortably – as if it were a second skin – and he handles his platform heals like he’s worn them all his life.

Now think about his role as Cardinal Richelieu in 1993’s The Three Musketeers. Sure, the role calls for the red Cardinal cloak / gown thing. But what about underneath? It is my contention that Tim Curry is wearing women’s underwear. You heard me. It’s all in the walk, really.

And don’t forget about 1985’s Clue, in which he played Wadsworth, the very excitable butler.

All that being said, I think it would be awesome if what I believe were true. Enjoy Tim Curry singing Sweet Transvestite, and ponder what I’ve said. I think you will find that I may be on to something.

Fun facts about The Rocky Horror Picture Show:

Mick Jagger wanted to play Dr. Frank N. Furter in the film version.

The opening number, “Science Fiction Double Feature”, contains references to many classic science fiction films. In the script, the credits were to be shown between clips of the films. Production designer Brian Thomson disliked the idea, and suggested using a pair of disembodied lips to mouth the words, inspired by a Man Ray painting.

Aside from the chemical symbols scrawled on the lab wall next to the control panel, there is a grocery list calling for flour, eggs, bread, sugar and two hypodermics.
