UPDATE: Paris Hilton will be serving the remainder of her sentence in home confinement and wearing an ankle bracelet. Being confined to her home is better than jail. It’s a Hilton home, for crying out loud! How is that punishment?

‘house arrest’: (also called home confinement, home detention, or electronic monitoring) is a measure by which a person is confined by the authorities to his or her residence.
