8 Year Old Sandra Cantu Missing In Tracy, CA

UPDATE: Monday March 30th at 8:45 a.m. – Sandra Cantu is still missing. Police have received some tips that they are following up on, but there has been no concrete change in the case.

Sandra Cantu disappeared from the Orchard Estate Mobile Home Park on Clover Road in Tracy, CA around 3:30 p.m. on Friday March 27, 2009.

Sandra Cantu just turned 8-years-old and is about 4 feet tall, weighing about 45 pounds. She is described as Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with Hello Kitty on it a striped dress.

Sandra is said to have been visiting a friend and was on her way back home when she disappeared.

Search and Rescue teams started patrolling the Orchard Estates early this morning but have yet to find her. They are searching each and every car arrived or leaving the mobile home park.

Police have visited at the registered sex offenders in the area, but nothing came of it.

Police say they have no indication that Sandra was abducted; however, multiple agencies are assisting the local police departments in the search on the ground and in the air, including the Office of Emergency Services, the CHP and the FBI.

I literally live about a 10 minute walk away from where Sandra Cantu disappeared. I’m kinda wigged out about it right now, actually. I’m racking my brain trying to think if I saw anything, but nothing seems to come to mind. I think my boyfriend and I are going to head over there in a bit and see what we can do.
