Zack Morris Is Back And Sarah Palin Has No Sense Of Humor

Well it’s Saturday afternoon and I have basically done nothing – which is awesome ‘cause I feel like the last few weekends have been nothing but doing things and driving all across the land; so this is a nice rest. Of course, soon it will end as I have to leave at 4:00 to drive a zillion miles to see my friend’s 2-year-old in her very first dance recital.

Anyway, I didn’t get a chance to talk to you yesterday so I wanted to be sure to do so today.

One of the best things that happened this past week was when Zack Morris made an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Yes, the Zack Morris. The clip is almost 9 ½ minutes, but if you grew up with Saved By The Bell like I did, it’s worth every minute.

So that was fun.

Let’s see…..what else…..

Oh! David Letterman totally pissed off Sarah Palin.

On last Monday’s show David Letterman’s Top Ten list titled “Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip” was all about Sarah Palin’s trip to New York City. During her trip, the former Vice Presidential candidate attended a Yankees game with her 14-year-old daughter Willow.

In his Top Ten list, David Letterman joked that there was an awkward moment during the game when “during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.”

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the joke; comedians are supposed to push the envelope. The writers at the Late Show saw nothing wrong with it either, but Dave did apologize for the tone of the joke anyway.

“I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl. I don’t think it’s funny. I would never think it was funny.

I’m not necessarily proud of these jokes. We do stuff all the time and our objective here is to get a laugh, and thank God we don’t have to go to the Hague and the World Court to defend them. It’s a joke and that’s all it’s supposed to be.”

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, sees all sorts of wrong; she thinks David Letterman is a dirty old man and that he should apologize to all woman kind.

Palin told ‘Today’ she thought it was “a degrading comment about a young woman. And I would hope that people would start really rising up and not accepting this.” Adding, “it’s no wonder girls have such low self-esteem in America when a comedian can make a remark like this.”

Hello! It was a JOKE! Geez, people are way too sensitive these days.

Am I the only one who finds it hard to watch Sarah Palin do an interview? Every time I hear her voice all I can think of is how dumb she was during the Presidential race.
