I don’t really have any strong feelings about Gisele Bundchen but when I found out where she gave birth to her son Benjamin (boring name!!) last month, I decided I like her.
Gisele Bundchen gave birth to her child with Tom Brady in their bathtub. No hospital, no chaos, just a bathtub with warm water.
If I ever have the opportunity to give birth, that’s how I want to do it. Well, maybe not in a bathtub per say, but definitely in water.
I’ve always felt it’s a more natural and less traumatic way for a newborn to come into this world. They go from warm water to warm water and the mother is the first to touch them. Plus warm water relaxes me and I can’t imagine that would be a bad thing.
Of course, with my luck I’ll have some crazy hard birth and won’t be allowed to do it in water.
Have you, or has anyone you know, given birth in water? I would love to hear about the experience.
The Brazilian beauty, who is already back to work, tells Fantástico magazine that despite reports that she delivered her son at the hospital, he was actually born at the penthouse she shares with her husband Tom Brady in Beacon Hill, Boston.
“I gave birth in the bathtub,” she reveals.
The reporter who interviewed Gisele reports that she was “in shape as always, six weeks after the birth of her baby,” and adds, “Gisele gives off simplicity, spirituality, shows that she has concern with living well, being happy and, now, with being an excellent mom.”
Good for Giselle! Hope she, her baby and Tom are doing well.
I have a friend who wanted to do things au naturale. I don’t know why she couldn’t use her tub, but she bought one of those kiddie pools and gave birth to her son in it. Both are doing quite well!
