Remember Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the 2009 White House State dinner crashers who were able to get pictures taken with Rahm Emmanuel and Joe Biden?
Yeah well, they’re back – and they’re not going away again anytime soon.
The “Real Housewives” franchise is getting political and setting up shop in Washington, D.C. with The Real Housewives of D.C.; Michaele and Tareq have already filmed a dozen episodes. The series is set to begin airing on Bravo in July.
According to some reports, the cameras for the new Bravo reality TV show were rolling during the couple’s White House stunt.
Michaele and Tareq Salahi are also writing a book (when does the lunchbox come out?), and Sharlene Martin, their literary agent, says, “People will be surprised when the truth about the Salahis is finally told.”
So who exactly are Michaele and Tareq Salahi, anyway?
TPM has been digging, and on close examination Michaele and Tareq Salahi have been moving in high end social and political circles for quite some time.
The White House is just the creme de la creme of the hot spots they’ve hit – the Salahis have attended receptions at the Executive Mansion in Virginia, big-dollar dinners for Congressional leadership and appear grinning next to top politicians and celebrities in dozens of photos on the Internet.
They own a winery and are heavily involved with the U.S. Polo Team…
