Laura Bell Bundy To ‘Giddy On Up’ At The ACM Awards

Cute Laura Bell Bundy is bringing her act to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 18th; it will be the first time the country singer has performed her song ‘Giddy On Up’ on television.

“I want to make [my performance] interesting and entertaining,” Bundy, 28, tells PEOPLE. “We’ll be in Vegas so I want to do a little Cirque du Bundy – some tightrope walking, light myself on fire, real live horses.”

All kidding aside, Bundy promises that fans will see a lot of the choreography from the video, which has been streamed more than 1 million times, and “you can pretty much guarantee I’m going to be wearing a pair of hot chaps,” just like she does in the video, she says with a laugh.

Laura Bell Bundy, who was born in Kentucky, first conquered Broadway with starring roles in Hairspray, Wicked, and Legally Blonde, for which she received a Tony nomination.

Her upcoming ACM performance, however, will be Laura Bell Bundy’s most nerve racking to date.

“It’s the ultimate,” she says. “It’s not even being on television in front of millions of viewers – it’s more like all of your peers are there and you’re finally part of this community.”
