But before you pick up the phone, there are a few things you should know to help make your Valley Springs Mobile Notary session a smooth one.
Signing Fees – $10.00 Per Signature
Each time a signer signs their name on the document(s) it will cost $10. If the signer signs their name in two different places, its $20.00, three times is $30.00, and so on. Each signer of the document(s) is subject to this fee.
Traveling Fees – $40.00 Per Notary Session
A flat fee of $40.00 is charged for each Valley Springs Mobile Notary session. This fee is charged in addition to the $10.00 signature fee (see above). If the document(s) are unable to be notarized during the session for any reason, the $40.00 travel fee still applies. Please note that the travel fee may be increased if traveling outside the Valley Springs area.
All documents must be completely filled out prior to meeting for a Valley Springs Mobile Notary session. Please note: A Public Notary is NOT a lawyer and cannot advise you on how to fill out any paperwork.
Proper ID
The primary function of a Valley Springs Mobile Notary is to verify that the signer is who they say they are, so having the proper ID is very important.
Each person signing the document(s) must be present at the Valley Springs Mobile Notary session, and able to provide a valid picture ID with their complete name and address information. The document(s) cannot be notarized if any of the signers do not have proper ID.
The name on the ID must match the name on the document(s). Please Note: The ID is allowed to have more name information than the document, but not less.
Acceptable: The ID says Bob Arnold Adams and the document says Bob A Adams
Unacceptable: ID says Bob A Adams and the document says Bob Arnold Adams
Valley Springs Mobile Notary Journal
Each signer must sign the Notary’s Journal and be prepared to give a thumb print.
