It’s pretty much a given that something will go wrong in the kitchen on Christmas Day like an important ingredient forgotten or urgently needed item missing. But fear not, there will be grocery stores open on Christmas 2011 to rescue you.
Several of the KROGER stores (including Ralphs and Food4Less) are open 24-hours and will be open on Christmas 2011, but verify with the Kroger location near you before you bundle up and head out on your trek, because 24-hours may not really mean 24-hours on Christmas.
My local grocery store, LUCKY’S Supermarket, will be open on Christmas Day but with modified hours. Check with the Lucky’s store in your area before you leave the house.
As with the Kroger stores mentioned above, many SAFEWAY stores are open 24-hours a day, so be sure to check with the Safeway location nearest you for their Christmas 2011 hours.
Most locations of the WINN DIXIE chain, which operates in the state of Florida and parts of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, will be open on Christmas Day. Hours at the various Winn Dixie grocery store locations may vary however, so be sure to check before you go.
