It’s about time!!
Thirteen years to the day after OJ Simpson was oh-so-wrongly acquitted of double murder, the former football player was found guilty on 12 counts including conspiracy to commit robbery and kidnapping, burglary, assault and coercion. He will be sentenced on December 5th; I’m crossing my fingers for life in prison.
Denied bail, court officers wasted no time in handcuffing the Hall of
FameShame inductee…after the verdict was read. His sister, Carmelita Durio, fainted as he was being led out of the courtroom and paramedics rushed to revive her…The gridiron great is now behind iron bars. O.J. should dust off those running back skills in case he drops a bar of soap in the prison shower.
So obviously Simpson’s defense team is crying foul; saying this verdict is payback for 1995. And to that I say, so what! The man killed his ex-wife and her friend, and got away with it (allegedly); you know it and I know it.
Alright, so technically it’s not right to convict someone based on unrelated crimes in their past, but I think in this case, it’s ok. There’s clearly a higher power involved in this. I mean, is it really just a coincidence that OJ was found guilty of one crime 13 years to the day he was acquitted of another? I think not.
That, my friend, is sweet karmic justice!
Delayed justice for the Goldman and Brown families, but better late than never.
As for the talk (by Simpson’s friend and lawyer) that the jury was tainted, my question is: why can’t the losing team just own up and say, “Yeah, that was a ‘just’ verdict?” Why always blame something else for the loss?
If memory serves me right, OJ asked that guns be brought in (to intimidate or threaten, I suppose) shows intent. Also, when he was saying “Nobody leaves this room” sure seems like people are being held against their will. Isn’t that another form of kidnapping?
this is cracking case which has been solved
